Dye Molecules that have been excited by light to the excited state then transfer electrons to semiconductor  which pass through the circuit to produce electricity. The electrolyte is needed to regenerate dye molecules.

DSSC technology works well and relatively better than other solar technologies, in real world solar conditions, including cloudy days, hazy days and polluted skies, at higher latitudes, at dawn and at dusk, NOT JUST at noon on a sunny day.

We focus on the design and synthesis of mixed ligand Ru and Zn systems using microwave synthesis as an efficient way to prepare the target molecules. To achieve maximum output we are screening our target molecules by applying TD DFT calculations to the system before we actually synthesize the complexes.
