My research interest are in the effects of defects on the electronic and optical properties in semiconductors, 2D materials, and nanoparticles by using density functional theory (DFT). The research topics include the development of photocatalysts for anti-microorganism and water splitting for hydrogen production as well as the identification of the origin of colors in gemstones.
