The 1st report on Room Temperature Fe(III) Spin Crossover Molecular Junction in Chemical Science
Updated: May 3, 2021
Functional Materials and Nanotechnology Center of Excellence (FuNTech), Walailak University would like to congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phimphaka Harding and Assoc. Prof. Dr. David J. Harding on their outstanding publication in Chemical Science on "Room Temperature Conductance Switching in a Molecular Iron(III) Spin Crossover Junction". This is a top chemistry journal and also open access. We really proud of this work where we show a number of firsts: i) you can make stable junctions with Fe(III), ii) cationic complexes can work well in junctions, iii) sublimation is not required. This work really was a joint effort of theory and experiment and we are truly grateful to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Christian Nijhuis, National University of Singapore and Prof. Eliseo Ruiz from Universitat de Barcelona who are major contributors.
