On September 17, 2025, a team from Thaksin University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pachara Phonnak from the Faculty of Science, together with three third-year Physics students enrolled in the course 0209313 – Characterization of Materials, and one research scientist, visited the Center of Excellence in Functional Materials and Nanotechnology (FuNTech) at Walailak University for an academic study visit.
The visit consisted of two key sessions:
• Advanced X-ray Diffraction (XRD) demonstration, conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Theanchai Wiwasuku, focusing on crystal structure and phase analysis.
• Microwave-assisted nanomaterial synthesis at the PE WAVE Laboratory, with a hands-on demonstration on the operation of the microwave reactor — conducted by Miss KARAKET WATTANASIT
This engagement provided the visiting team with valuable exposure to state-of-the-art techniques in materials characterization and synthesis, enhancing their academic knowledge and future research potential.
The collaboration reflects FuNTech’s commitment to academic service, inter-university knowledge exchange, and the integration of advanced research infrastructure into undergraduate scientific education.
