ชื่อหัวข้องานวิจัยที่นำเสนอ

ชื่อหัวข้อ: การศึกษาลักษณะ ประสิทธิภาพการต้านแบคทีเรียและไบโอฟิล์มของแบคเทอริโอเฟจที่จำเพาะต่อเชื้อ Escherichia coli ก่อโรคในสัตว์ปีก (APEC)

งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งเน้นในการศึกษาแบคเทอริโอเฟจที่มีความจำเพาะต่อเชื้อ E. coli ที่ก่อโรคในสัตว์ปีก (APEC) ประเมินประสิทธิภาพของแบคเทอริโอเฟจในการยับยั้งและทำลายแบคทีเรียตลอดจนตรวจสอบความสามารถในการลดและทำลายไบโอฟิล์มของเชื้อ APEC โดยมี รศ.ดร.พิชญาภัค วินทะชัย อาจารย์สาขาชีววิทยา สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ (สมาชิกศูนย์ FunTech) เป็นอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาโครงงานวิจัย

งานนี้จัดโดยสมาคมวิทยาศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทยฯ เป็นผู้จัดให้มีรางวัล Young Rising Stars of Science  ในงานประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ The 51st International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT51) ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 12-13 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ณ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อมอบให้แก่นิสิต/นักศึกษาชั้นปีสุดท้าย ในหลักสูตร วิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต (วท.บ.) และหลักสูตรที่เกี่ยวข้องจากมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วประเทศ ที่มีผลงานโครงงานวิจัยทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี (senior project) โดดเด่นในแต่ละปี

วัตถุประสงค์    

1. เพื่อสร้างกำลังใจให้กับนิสิต/นักศึกษา ในการศึกษาและวิจัยทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี

2. เพื่อส่งเสริมให้นิสิต/นักศึกษา ได้มีโอกาสเข้าร่วมและเสนอผลงานวิจัยในการประชุมวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ

3. เพื่อเชิดชูเกียรติให้กับนิสิต/นักศึกษา อันเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้กับรุ่นน้องต่อไป

โดยในงานนี้ มีนิสิตมหาวิทยาลัยมหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ได้คว้ารางวัลกันทั้งสิ้น 4 รางวัล ได้แก่ ระดับ Silver ด้าน Physics, ระดับ Bronze ด้าน Chemistry, ระดับ Bronze ด้าน Biology และ ระดับ Bronze ด้าน Mathematics ศูนย์ FunTech ขอร่วมภาคภูมิใจกับนิสิตทุกท่านและขอเป็นกำลังใจให้ก้าวต่อไปค่ะ 🌟

Functional Materials and Nanotechnology Center of Excellence (FuNTech) proudly congratulates Ms. Renuka Thonguppatham (P’Ray), a Ph.D. candidate in the Doctor of Philosophy (Science) Program at Walailak University, on receiving the Young Rising Star of Science Award – Bronze Level in the field of Biology.

Research Title: Characterization, antibacterial activity and antibiofilm efficacy of a bacteriophage specific to avian pathogenic Escherichia coli

This research focuses on the characterization of a bacteriophage specific to avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC), evaluating its antimicrobial efficacy in inhibiting and destroying bacterial cells, as well as its ability to reduce and eliminate APEC biofilm formation. The study was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phitchayapak Wintachai, Lecturer in Biology Program, School of Science, and member of the FunTech Center.

The award was presented by The Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King during the 51^st International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT51), held on 12–13 November 2025 at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.

The Young Rising Stars of Science awards aim to recognize outstanding senior projects conducted by final-year undergraduate students (B.Sc. and related programs) from universities nationwide.

Objectives of the Award Program

1.      To inspire and encourage students in the pursuit of scientific and technological research.

2.   To promote opportunities for students to participate in and present their research at international conferences.

3.      To honor students who serve as exemplary role models for future generations.
